Not to mention the remodeled Hit Stick ( known in Madden 08 as Hit Stick 2.0 ), which can let you hit high or low. Still, without regard for the epic new innovations in this one ( and epic, they are ) it's still all about the game, and your ability to stomp your rival in it. Camera angle, that is . Spreading yourself thin is not a bad way to go when it comes to NHL 10. Now, what we mean by that is, it's important to keep your men all over the ice. Concentrating your men in one area is a recipe for defeat and disaster. By keeping your men spread out, you've got a winning strategy. Firstly, it keeps your rival on the run. Keep on tossing the puck to your men, and your rival just will not be able to stay the course. Sooner than later, one of your men will be left wide open to make that goal. Another important tip : go into settings/options and set the shot attempt to Manual, not automobile. With Manual, you can target your shots. Then, quickly hit the B button, and at the last second, move the left stick to the right. The Spin Move - it's a thing of beauty. if you need to win, you also need to use Defensive Assignments. One of Madden's smartest features, Defensive Assignments lets you assign your best defender to their best offensive player ( vs a default'automatic' setting ). Let's say your contestant knows a way to use his star player, and he is's just destroying you each time. Your best chance is to go into the coaching Options menu, select Defensive Assignments, and line up your best man to take down his best man. Because a good contestant ( and trust me, these Madden fanatics are in a league all their own ) knows a way to make the the majority of his team...
